Olive green printed silk is patterned with a fine diamond lattice and dotted with sequins, forming a textured ground for the bridal embroidery. Tall almond-shaped medallions in deep red rise from the hem. Each is framed in ivory thread and filled with a zardozi vase and bird motif. Below them, layered scalloped borders in ruby velvet-toned embroidery, antique gold zardozi, cutdana, pearls and stones build toward a richly worked hem. The V-neck blouse in deep red has a wrap-style bodice with fan-shaped buti, zardozi and stone embellishment. It has elbow-length sleeves and a patterned border at the waist and cuffs. The back opens in a deep scoop, tied with a dori and gold jhumka-style tassels.
